The traditional name Rickmers is a synonym for high quality and innovative shipbuilding and has characterized the history of the world capital of the shipbuilding industry, Bremerhaven. From the superlatives of the Bremerhavener sailboat up to the technical innovations of the post-war period this wharf gave positive impulses for worldwide shipbuilding.
Rickmers Lloyd emerged from the earlier Rickmers Wharf, the legendary ship repair establishment at the Unterweser location, whose ideals we closely follow. Our chief partner is the Lloyd Werft. With their long tradition as a ship repair enterprise of the famous Norddeutsche Lloyd, as well as many spectacular ship conversions (particularly in the segment of the most well-known passenger liners), it has contributed substantially to the sound reputation of the location Bremerhaven in world shipbuilding.
